From Mother to Matriarch: a Forgotten Rite of Passage

  • Bow Sanctuary 3533 Chuckanut Drive Bow, WA, 98232 United States (map)

Earlier this year, we welcomed Grief to our communal table, acknowledging the transformative power of sharing difficult experiences with one another. Now, we extend an invitation to Perimenopause, a sacred stage in a woman's life replete with hot flashes, mood swings, insomnia, and freedom (yes, you read that right. Freedom.).

With the emergence of spring and the Equinox, we're embracing a personal shift in seasons towards this inevitable time in a woman’s life. Through sharing circles and “confessionals”,  journaling and sketching, reflection and the making of epic flower crowns, we’ll peek into the shadows of frustrations, fears and anger AND elevate the gifts they carry. Be sure to bring  your adventurous spirit as we’ve got an unforgettable rite of passage planned for the labyrinth experience.

We’ll share this time TOGETHER as sisters - in community, out loud, and empowered and have a damn good time doing it.

This gathering is for anyone on the cusp or surfing the chaos of perimenopause, in the deep-end of menopause, or ready to drop pearls of wisdom from the shores of “no longer give a f*#k what people think.”

Provided: all ceremony materials, lunch by Persimmon Bistro, hot tea

Please bring: a journal &/or sketchbook, pen, water bottle, weather appropriate clothing for the outdoor portion of the gathering
